Slalomo startas!

Norint gerai startuoti slalomo varžybose – labai svarbu gerai startuoti. Tikro, kieto slalomisto tikslas turėtų būti kirsti starto liniją maximaliu greičiu tik suskambus teisėjo signalui.

Kaunas Championship, Last day

Ola amigos!

Just after the sun raised above the horizon the last day of racing began.
Today we had a nice breeze coming from  NW which was from 3 to 5-6 m/s  and luckily no heavy rain at all. 3 races were planned to be made and I was really determined to maintain the 1st place in overall.

We rigged our viper sails, polished viper boards and went out on the water.

Kaunas championship, Day 1

What's up?

Today I had a nice racing day in quite rash weather conditions.
This time I was sailing with vipers and did really well in all 4 races.
That was not so easy as I expected, as young guns who are sailing with vipers are improving in huge paces. This time we had an enormous load of rain and a lovely wind blowing from 6 to 10/12 m/s.

Kaunas Season Open - RCB Day 2

When I first arrived at Kaunas Yacht-club in the morning I though there wouldn't be any starts that day because the wind wasn't showing any signs of life. So I took the chair, put it near the water and began chilling. I was also mentally preparing to be the first one because the current 2nd place was just not enough for me. Some minutes later the wind started shaking the leaves and I realized that finally there would be some starts that day.

I rigged the same 9.0 sail, prepared my rocket called Mistral One-Design and was waiting for the race to take place. I knew that I had to push my self hard to be the first one. Therefore, I believed I was prepared.

Kaunas season opening - FW

The forecast wasn't perfect for Saturday, but it was even worse for Sunday, thus organizers tried to do their best. The wind was very very very gusty. From 2 up to 10 meters, changing very often and very suddenly. There were 2 and a half race's done. 2 and a half because during the last race we have made only 1 lap, because of the lack of wind.
As always during Kaunas season opening we were not alone in the water, there were many kind of sailing boats as well as raceboards and group of kids racing on Fanatic Vipers. So it was a real mess out there. Because of that the distance was really strange and not usual.

Kaunas Season Open - RCB

Hello everyone,

Today we had a wonderful day for the season to be opened on Raceboards. There were 3 races overall, 2 laps for each race. Wind was very unsustainable from 3m/s to 6-7m/s so it was like gusts chasing race. I was using my 9.0 simmer pro-race 2001 (Even though the sail is ancient but the power is still greatly felt).

After perfectly tuning our gear we left the shore to prove who is the best on Raceboards.
